Active ingrediants:
Personal Experience: There’s a lot of moisturising properties in this lip balm, such as Jojoba oil, vitamin E and Olive squalene and shea butter.
It was a challenge as the only lip balm that works for me is kiehl’s #1. Without kiehl’s my lips is chapped flaky and dry, using any other products my lips will dry within 10 minutes. Using this every single day, I notice it condition my lips very well, in total I would reapply for 3-4 times a day.
The product line has two colour choices I was afraid to try the bright purple colour as I like my lips to look natural during the day. So I choose soft peach colour, on application it instantly smoothes my lips and surprisingly no tint of colour as it shows up clear. It smells quite sweet, must be the apricot the applicator comes with a sponge tip and is easy to apply on the lips.
It makes a fantastic primer for lipstick, I have notice near the end of my trial the lips will chapped, but overall I’m really satisfied with the lip balm.

Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

Pros:
Used around 10% of product over the month
smells great
moisturise and makes lips soft

Cons:
lips starting chapping near the end of the trial
Would I re-purchase again? Maybe, besides kiehl’s this lip balm is pretty decent, you will get instant soft smackers, and smells very good too.

Alva naturkosmetik coleur organic baked bronzing powder beige-medium review

Where to buy: mypure

Product Description: Alva Coleur Baked Bronzing Powder comes in 3 shades and gives you an even, naturally transparent tan with a subtle pearlescent effect. It nourishes the skin with patented Wellmune, macadamia nut oil, evening primrose oil and red grapevine oil.

Comes complete with a separate sponge compartment for hygienic and clean storage.
Full Ingredients

Decyl Oilve Esters (and) Squalene
Zinc Stearate
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil
Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil
Zinc oxide
Natural Parfum
Chamomilla Recutita Extract
Vitis Vinifera (Grape)
Yeast Polysaccharide
Potassium sorbate

Personal Experience: you have three colours to choose from, it is very hard to tell as on screen the colour beige-medium looks dark in real life it is really light. The bronzing powder comes in a sturdy piano black compact great to bring out on the go and has a decent size mirror. The white sponge keeps the powder transferring to the mirror. The powder is baked so it is really long lasting and doesn’t crumble a big plus for me. The colour itself failed to show up on my skin, as you can see from my swatches the powder produces a slight shimmer and works well to highlight my cheeks. As a bronzer it didn’t make my skin look tanned or bronze. I had to put a few layers on to make it show up on my face, I usually like to use a bronzer as a contour for cheeks.
Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

Pros:
shimmery on application
long lasting
the compact will last you a very long time

Cons:
did not make my skin look tan
Would I re-purchase again? Yes, if I get to try the darker shade as it is long wearing and the product will last me a long time

Alva COLEUR concealer #medium review

Monday, 14 March 2011

Besides mineral foundation foundation I never really explored natural make up. I decided to choose a natural make up product to try out for this month.

Taken from Mypure website
Alva COLEUR entices with its modern natural tones, young fresh feel and innovative natural ingredients. The entire range is certified organic by EcoCert®, its also vegan, talc-free and carmine-free.

What makes COLEUR truly unique amongst all other natural and organic make-up brands is that all products contain Wellmune®, a patented beta glucan that primes the immune system – this makes COLEUR make-up suitable for those who may be prone to eczema, dermatitis and other sensitive skin conditions. Wellmune® also has anti-ageing benefits.

Pros

 nice creamy texture
 buildable
Cons
 only comes in 2 shades
✗ wasn’t long wearing

Verdict: The concealer was nice and creamy texture, I apply this on top of acne and it did not irritate my skin at all. I used a MAC 224 brush or ELF studio concealer to apply this onto my skin. It did take a few layers to notice the difference. It didn’t completely cover my spots/scars and I found the concealer didn’t last very long, 8 hours gone and it slipped from my face.  For me, I wouldn’t repurchase this product as it did not match my skin colour, I would love to see more shades from Alva in the near future.

❤❤❤ Product love rating 3/5
